Heather Peebles currently lives and works in Minneapolis, MN where she earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
Currently, she is researching trauma and identity through a community and self-healing lens. She provides opportunities for victim-survivors to heal and grow through the Break the Silence community and the Don’t You Feel It Too? Artist-Healer-Activist Cohort project with art, trauma-informed, and movement-based techniques. These experiences, in turn, feed into her personal mixed media painting and fabric practice, reconnecting with her bodymind after years of dissociation due to being sexually assaulted.
