Heather Peebles currently lives and works in Minneapolis where she earned an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
She researches trauma and identity through a community- and self-healing lens.
In 2017, she provided opportunities for victim-survivors to heal and grow in the Break the Silence community and through the Don’t You Feel It Too? Artist-Healer-Activist Cohort project by utilizing art, trauma-informed, and movement-based techniques. These experiences, in turn, feed her personal mixed media practice, reconnecting with her bodymind after years of dissociation.
